Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - The San Francisco Giants traded infielder Kevin Frandsen to the Boston Red Sox Friday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. The 27-year-old Frandsen batted .240 with 39 RBI and seven home runs in 174 career games with the Giants. He was drafted by San Francisco in the 12th round of the 2004 draft. Frandsen was hitting .225 with five RBI in 17 games for the Giants this spring.
